Shreyasi completed her bachelor’s degree in information technology from National Institute of Technology, Durgapur, India in 2016 and her master’s degree in computer science at University of Twente (UT), The Netherlands in 2018. She completed her PhD in computer science at the same university in September 2025 for her work “Machine learning in healthcare: From petri-dish to reality-centric AI”under the supervision of Prof. dr. Christin Seifert and Prof. dr. Maurice van Keulen. Specifically, she worked on developing reality-centric AI models for breast cancer prediction using mammography images that can be usable in real hospital settings. Both her master’s thesis and PhD work were done in collaboration with Ziekenhuis Groep Twente (ZGT), The Netherlands. She went on a research visit to Institute of Artificial Intelligence for Medicine (IKIM), Essen, Germany for 2 years during her PhD in Prof. dr. Christin Seifert’s group.Following her PhD, she did a short postdoc at UT on developing self-supervised learning models for neonatal EEG signals in collaboration with University Medical Center Groningen and a company in Ireland, Neurobell.
In August 2026, she started as a postdoctoral researcher within the consortium, Artificial Intelligence for Accessible Imaging (AI4AI), working on identification of patients at high risk of coronary artery disease at Amsterdam University Medical Center. She is working with Prof. Dr. Ivana Isgum and Dr. Vikram Venkatraghavan.
